"Frozen 2"

Well things are getting pretty cold outside, so how about getting warm and cozy with a bag of popcorn with a bubbly beverage and take in one of the most anticipated titles of the year on the big screen, the much awaited Disney sequel "Frozen 2".

Picking up a few years after the events of the first movie, Elsa (Idina Menzel) has come into her own as Queen of Arendelle and controlling her magical ice powers along with rebuilding the loving relationship with her little sister Anna (Kristen Bell) and enjoying the family they created with Kristoff (Johnathan Groff), Sven the reindeer and the lovable living snowman Olaf (Josh Gad). Yet when a strange siren-like voice that only Elsa can hear calls to her beckoning her to come which causes her to unwittingly awaken the magical spirits of the forest. Spirits that were thought to be nothing more than from a story that their parents use to tell them as children in a forest that is cut off from Arendelle by a magical mist.
Finding the future of Arendelle in potential danger, Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Sven and Olaf journey north to seek the truth about the magical forest and secrets of the past that must come to light for the future of their kingdom and to provide the answers they've long sought.

For the most part sequels, even ones from Disney often don't live up to hype of the original, yet it seems that in the case of "Frozen 2", it does not leave the audience cold. While nothing can live up to the original with its amazing songs and that iconic blue dress, its sequel managed to leave the audience impressed with new songs you'll be singing along with, comical moments from the sweet enduring character of Olaf and intense and moving scenes as you watch the relationships and personal growth of the characters play out on their joint and individual journeys. This sequel is guaranteed to shine brightly in the Disney collection in the coming years and will shine as brightly with the five G.M.Stars I'm letting go and hope that there will be another journey into the unknown with these characters soon.
