"Isabelle"

Happy Halloween to all you boys and ghouls out there. Hope you're all having a great time being in costume and going to parties or watching that classic horror film with lots of candy. Since finding time to post has been a challenge for me lately, I've decided to give you a treat this holiday and do not one but two post tonight featuring scary movies to consider for your next movie screening.

In this terrifying thriller, a young couple Larissa and Matt Kane (Amanda Crew and Adam Brody) are expecting their first child and moving into a dream home in a nice neighborhood with an elderly woman Ann Pelway (Sheila McCarthy) and her mute and reclusive daughter Isabelle (Zoe Belkin) who watches silently from her window at what goes on, including on the day Larissa miscarries.

Feeling the pain of loss, Larissa finds herself not only slipping into a great depression, but she begins experiencing hallucinations and noises that are not really there and Isabelle face haunting her dreams and beginning to invade her waking moments. It soon becomes clear to Larissa Isabelle wants more than to just watch her life from a far, she wants to have her life.

Slow, but creepy. The story tends to take its time getting from point A to point B, but what it lacks in speed it makes up for eerily creepy as you see this evil work its way in and which way it will turn for the characters and the final outcome. All in all, I say Isabelle will give leave you a little unnerved and will take away three G.M.Stars.
