DCU: "Reign of the Supermen"

Every hero falls at some point, even the great ones. What comes afterwards is often uncertain. Yet someone always seems to rise up from the ashes like a phoenix to carry on where those who came before left off, but will they be like the heroes we've lost, or become a greater threat?

In the aftermath of Superman's death (played by Jerry O'Connell), Metropolis finds itself in the wake of not one but four new Supermen that have come to fill the late Superman's red boots.
Steel (Cress Williams) a man named John Henry Irons who's life was once saved by Superman and gave him the ambition to make himself a superhero with his craftsman and engineering skills. Superboy (Cameron Monaghan) a cocky teenager who possesses Superman's abilities and even resembles the late hero and is supported by Lex Luthor (Rainn Wilson) to be the city's next savior. Cyborg Superman (Jerry O'Connell) part flesh, part robot who looks and sounds like Superman even claims to be to Lois Lane (Rebecca Romijn), but the ever skeptic journalist isn't convinced. Finally there's The Eradicator (Charles Halford) a robotic-like version of the late hero that seems to only follow his programming and has no remorse for the unfortunate villains that get caught in his line of fire.
With all the uncertainty if the real Superman may still be alive and if these new heroes are more of a danger than a solution, its up to Lois and the Justice League to find the answers and keep things in check as the potential of a new threat looms.

Super-Awesome, a DC fan's dream. This film puts you right in the front seat as you solve the mystery at hand and get to see the back stories of four featured characters and where they fit into all this. While the only downside is very little screen time for the other Justice League members, it introduces you to a few heroes rarely featured in the DC movie world. You'll want to take off with this high-flying adventure and wait anxiously to see if the real Superman will stand up. So this chapter to the DCU takes home four and a half G.M.Stars to take back to the Hall of Justice and I hope that the next one will soar just as high.
