"Klippers"

Happy 2019 to all you movie lovers! Almost a year ago I started this blog to give me a chance to let me use my writing skills and talk about something I love and share it with the world. It's been a great year and I've done over 160 post since then. With a new year means more movies to come and I'm excited to get started. One particular film caught my attention this past year that I'd like to kick off the new year with.

Clara (Libby Blayton) has been through a lot in her life. Serving in the army and now trying to escape a bad marriage and start over with her life. Yet her husband Charles (Robert Pralgo) refuses to let her just walk away and with money and a psychotic personality, he decides the only thing to do is to have her killed. Sending in Steven (Ofu Obekpa, who is also director and writer of this film) is sent in under the rouse as a cable repair man to get the layout of her home, but finds himself being drawn to Clara and soon decides he can't go through with the assassination, a decision he will soon come to regret.
When he fails to eliminate Clara, a dangerous and merciless assassin known as Drummer (Conphidance) is sent in to finish the job and waste no time showing what he's capable of. As the two are cornered on the second level with Drummer making any attempt to escape or seek help impossible, its only a matter of time before they will have to make a choice whether to face him and fight, or surrender to certain death.

A heart-pounding psychological warfare played out in American suburbia. This intense showdown of for survival puts you right in the front seat of the lengths people will go. Obekpa is a talented rising director and writer that is sure to find success with powerful films like this and perhaps become in the same league as M. Night Shyamalan and Stephen King with more thrillers like this. Well casted and drawn out action and suspense makes this film worthy of five G.M. Stars to shine brightly in this new year and hopefully the start of many more to come.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
