"I Kill Giants"

For many High School and growing up can be the most awkward and troubling time of your life. Many seek an escape, whether its with friends or a hobby or interest. Though for those unique few, it is into their own world.

Barbara Thorson (Madison Wolfe) is a fourteen-year old loner who's tough reality has her seeking salvation from the ordinary by going into a world of her own where she is preparing for something extraordinary, to fight and kill giants. Believing that she is the only one who will be there to defend her world from impending giant attacks, she spends her days alone, even when she is at home with her obnoxious brother and her older sister Karen (Imogen Poots) who is doing her best to take care of things at home. School is no easier with bullies like Taylor (Rory Jackson) who targets Barbara along with her cronies. Barbara finds her only connection with new girl Sophia (Sydney Wade) and school counselor Mrs. Mollé (Zoe Saldana) who Barbara resist talking to but secretly wants to open up to. As her battle draws near, Barbara will have to face not only "her giants", but the fears that wait for her in reality.

Magically imaginative. This film draws you into this magical world and hits you hard with reality. Young Madison Wolfe's performance as troubled Barbara is astonishing the way she delivers the raw emotions as Barbara struggles to come to terms with the real world while facing the demons of her fantasy world. Matched up with the talented C.G.I effects that keep you guessing how real this world of hers is, it will keep you guessing as to how this windy story will play out. No question, this gripping film of giant proportions earned all five G.M.Stars making it one to watch.
