"Kickboxer: Retaliation"

Martial arts has been a cultural aspect all over the world for centuries. Today UFC and MMA tournaments pop up all over the world and people practice multiple cultural fighting styles like Tae Kwon Do, Jiu Jitzu, etc. It has also influence literature and cinema over the decades and the fighting scenes have only gotten more intense and graphic with the new age.

Taking place one year after the events of "Kickboxer: Vengeance" Kurt Sloane (Alain Moussi) is back in the United States with his wife Liu (Sara Malakul Lane) competing for a chance at the MMA title with no intent on ever returning to Thailand and all the hell it came with. Yet just as he thinks as it's all behind him, he's approached by two men claiming to be U.S. Marshals coming to arrest him for the Tong Po, the fighter he killed to avenge his brother in Thailand in a fight to the death. The next thing he knows he's being stun-gunned and finds himself back in Thailand in front of Thomas Moore (Christopher Lambert).
Moore gives Sloane the option to face his newest fighter Mongkut (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson) a 400 pound 6'10 mass of muscle in a fight to the death for 1 million dollars and his freedom or endure a Thailand prison where many prisoners hold grudges for the death of Tong Po. Choosing prison, he fights to stay alive and gets word to Liu where he is.
Things get more complicated when they capture Liu forcing Sloane to accept the challenge and he begins his training with the assistance of an old friend and fight trainer Master Durand (Jean-Claude Van Damme) and a fellow prisoner/ally Briggs (Mike Tyson). With the odds against him, Sloane must develop new skills to face Mongkut's wrath if he stands a chance of making it out of the ring alive.

Action-packed until the end. If fighting scenes are your favorite, this is filled with non-stop martial arts and acrobatics for the fighting arts enthusiast. The camera angles and special effects capturing these blood sport moments will make your adrenaline run. Intense and thrilling and worthy of a five G.M.Star rating that will take you on an exciting adventure into the fighting world.
