"Jesse James vs. The Black Train"

Many outlaws back in the days of the Wild West were infamous, some even seen by some as heroes. One of the most famous names is that of Jesse James, one of the few outlaws of the day to retire and with one of the most famous deaths. Even long after, writers and directors still tell his story and of his crime spree.

Jesse James (Paul Clayton) returns to his home having ridden with Frank James and the rest of his gang robbing banks across the territory to try to go legit. Starting up his own Wild West Show, for the next three years he lives a fairly simple life with his family, but the past can't stay away.
With more shows popping up making it difficult to get a profit, Jesse decides to go for one big score and he has his eyes on the notorious Black Train. Despite the naysayers, he gathers a group to execute his plan, but those who see him as the outlaw that will never change are set to see that The Black Train is Jesse's final hour.

After viewing this, I'm sorry to say this was an utter disappointment. The cuts from scene to scene were the work of a film student in their first year, the action was slim and disappointing as far as excitement and the dialogue goes on and on making the movie dull and dreary. It appeared that the director tried to use lighting and camera effects to make scenes in the movie dramatic and artistic when all it did was make it more confusing to keep up with the story. A documentary would have been more interesting than this piece which has earned its place amongst the worst films I've reviewed as my third one Green Mountain Star (G.M.Star) rated to date. It's a disgrace to the legend of Jesse James and a waste of any money you may spend viewing this. And so I say you're welcome for saving you your money and an hour and a half of your life.

If you do wish to view, "Jesse James vs. The Black Train" is available at Redbox and on DVD.
