"Hailey Dean Mystery 2+2=Murder"

This summer on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries, its all about new cases for some of your favorite Mystery Women. This month, its a special three-part Hailey Dean Mystery movie event. Last Sunday was the first chapter which has opened the door to a part of Hailey's past where we learn about the unsolved murder of her first love, all leading up to a potential answer to who killed Will.

In the first chapter, Hailey Dean (Kellie Martin) attends a concert at her niece Parker Dean's (Lina Renna) as a way of raising funds for the school's reconstruction to keep it open. However, the music teacher at the helm of this project Naomi Sacks (Hannah Pederson) who's father Norman Sacks (Keith MacKechnie) is friends of her father and know she use to work at the D.A.'s office before becoming a psychiatrist is a no show.
After no word from her in days and learning from Parker that Naomi wanted to speak with her, Hailey takes it upon herself to investigate with the help of her friend Fincher (Viv Leacock). Discovering blood and an earring in the construction sight, it becomes clear Naomi did not leave on her own and that her fate is not a good one. With a list of suspects and a vague video tape of her last hours to go on, Hailey discovers that Naomi discovered something going on linking to the school's reconstruction and the purchase of the school's property by old friend Clyde Bennett (Chad Lowe) who knew Hailey and her first love Will a long time ago and may be in town for more than just planning a reunion.

Intriguing and suspenseful. Hailey Dean delivers it again in a plot with twist and turns and different angles that have to be looked at before finding the right path in this maze of a case. It's a story that keeps you guessing with just a touch of danger. The only thing it lacked was a more tense standoff. I'll be looking forward to the next part and hope that it walks away with more than four and a half G.M.Stars as the case to identifying Will's killer comes into light.

⭐⭐⭐⭐½

"Hailey Dean Mystery: 2+2=Murder" is available to watch on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries channel and stay tuned Sunday June 10th at 9 p.m. for the next chapter "Hailey Dean Mystery: A Marriage Made For Murder"
