"Death Wish"

With all the issues with gun violence going on from school shootings to gang violence to home invasions gone bad. Most of the time we let the judicial system handle it and move on until the next one. A vicious endless cycle that so many want to change but don't seem to know how. Yet what if it was your family, your spouse, your children? How far would you be willing to go?

Dr. Paul Kersey (Bruce Willis) is a devoted husband to his wife Lucy (Elisabeth Shue) and father to daughter Jordan (Camilla Morrone) and a successful doctor who saves lives daily. Yet when a home invasion goes wrong resulting in his wife being murdered and their daughter in a coma, he does what anyone would do and let the police handle it. But after weeks of waiting for Detective Kevin Raines (Dean Norris) to make headway on the case and finding its becoming one of the many open cases that may never be solved Paul decides to take matters into his own hands.
Taking a crash course education on the street, he soon uses his vigilante skills to track down those involved, but the deeper he goes, the more dangerous it becomes with the risk of getting caught by the police or by those who will seek revenge.

Bruce Willis being well known for his action movies doesn't disappoint. His portrayal of a mild-mannered doctor evolving into a gun toting vigilante was someone you could relate to as what might happen if someone pushed you too far. Along with well choreographed fight scenes and enough bullets to supply the U.S. Marine Corp going off, its an action-packed cinema delight for any Bruce Willis fan or just someone in need of a good action movie. A five G.M.Star bullseye for this film with one still in the chamber wanting more action.
