"Lego DC Super Hero Girls: Super-Villian High"

As many parents know, Lego has been branching out past their building toys and diving into the world of cinema with many beloved characters from Marvel Comics to Scooby Doo. Of course one of the most famous franchises is that of the DC universe with Batman, but for girls who need a positive role model, they are featuring the Super Hero Girls.

During the teen years of many of your favorite DC female characters such as Wonder Woman (Grey Griffin), Supergirl (Anais Fairweather), Batgirl (Ashlyn Madden) Katana (Stephanie Sheh) Bumblebee (Teala Dunn) and a new Green Lantern named Jessica Cruz (Cristina Milizia).
Aside from Jessica, there have been many other new editions to Super Hero High such as Cheetah, Catwoman, Frost (Killer Frost to the comic fans) as well as some other familiar faces like Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy (Both played by Tara Strong), yet with new students comes rivalry and egos that clash. Meanwhile, Lena Luthor (Romi Dames) the sister of Lex Luthor who is tired of being second rate decides to use this turmoil to her advantage by impersonating Principal Waller (Yvette Nicole Brown) while she's away and lure some of the new recruits to a new high school where unbeknownst to many of them are getting A's in the art of villainy. Its up to the Super Hero Girls to set these Super Villain Girls straight so that they can work together and foil Lena's plans before she takes over the school, and the world.

While I am a huge fan of DC Comics, this was obviously not one I would rate Super-Awesome. However, for the young fans out there, it is the perfect viewing of these strong women while giving some of that Lego humor we've come to love from the Lego movie franchise and inspiring some creativity with their C.G. Legos that will make them want to go play with their own Legos afterwards. With powerful female roles and out of the Lego Box thinking, this family film gets four G.M.Stars with me along with a Lego command center that I want to go build now.
