"Same Kind of Different as Me"

We've all found ourselves wanting to do good for others, yet sometimes when faced with an actual person in need, we shy away letting our fears get the better of us. Yet sometimes it only takes an ounce of courage to begin making a difference that can change more than just their life.

Based off of true events, art dealer Ron Hall (Greg Kinnear) has built a life for himself that many can only begin to imagine, beautiful home a wife Debbie (Renee Zellweger) and their two children Regan and Carson (Olivia Holt and Austin Filson). Yet when Ron admits to Renee of having an affair, it looks as if it will destroy everything they have. Yet rather than divorce him or make him buy back her love, she chooses to make him earn it by helping her at a local mission. During this time, Debbie has a dream of seeing a man on an open road and when she sees that same man at the mission she takes it as a sign from God that they are meant to befriend him. Yet the man Denver Moore (Djimon Hounsou) initially comes off as violent swinging a bat around and going by the name "Suicide", yet Ron's persistence pays off and he and Debbie come to find Denver is a good strong-hearted man who may be destined to do good things with his life.

It has been awhile since a film had this much emotional power in just one scene than many others have in their entire story. You are put in the front seat of someone's hard circumstances and how they came to be down-trotted like so many struggling out there today. It also demonstrates the power of love and friendship and that it can be full of trials and blessings. An inspiring piece that has five G.M.Stars shining brightly over it. If you ever needed a movie that can show you how far a little compassion, this film stand tall.
