Anti Matter: Sci fi brilliance or bust?

The world of science fiction has come a great distance since the days of Star Trek and is now loved by more than the awkward nerds. Yet there are those that still can't quite grasp the storylines and it just goes over their head. This film had a mixture of confusion and insight.

Ana is an American student studying at Oxford for her Ph. D. in chemical engineering. While experimenting with algorithms, she stumbles across away to cause matter to vanish. Recruiting her fellow classmates Nate and Liv to help with her experiment they discover they can move matter through wormholes they create. With a chance at funding, they move on to testing on something bigger than lab rats, Ana.
After volunteering as the test subject, she finds herself unable to remember the events of the experiment or retain any new memories and her colleagues and those around her seem to be behaving differently towards her. With vivid dreams and a growing distrust in others, it fuels her paranoia that something in the experiment has gone wrong and the answer may be one she doesn't want answered.

This film gave me mixed feelings. On the one hand, the plot had interesting points and made me think if such a thing were possible, but with a slow start and confusing points that made it hard to follow until towards the end made this only an okay watch. I tried to be open-minded about a movies characters and plot, but I feel that it lacked some depth in most of its story. While the climax held my interest, it was the only shining moment in the script that made it somewhat intriguing.
That being said, I can only bring myself to give it two stars. I wouldn't not recommended, but I would only say it's worth a watch to the true science fiction fans and open-minded cinema connoisseurs.
